FACULTY WISMET

Women in Science, Math, Engineering and Technology (WISMET) is sponsored by North Dakota EPSCoR to support women faculty and students involved in research and training at NDSU. Faculty WISMET meets for a monthly luncheons during the academic year. The goals of the organization are:

1) to promote women faculty collaboration and networking in research and teaching;

2) to promote interdisciplinary discussion and mentoring among faculty and students across scientific and technical fields; and

3) to increase opportunities for women students to interact with faculty and peers who have common interests in research or teaching careers in science, math, or engineering. WISMET welcomes all campus women involved in research in the sciences, social sciences, and related fields.

Student WISMET is an organization aimed at women students at NDSU. We seek to support women in their studies and provide the support and resources for them to succeed in their professional careers.

Purpose: To provide student women in science, mathematics, engineering, and technology an environment in which to interact with their peers, faculty, and administration. To provide its members opportunities for professional growth.
